Where have you been?

So...I may be the very worst blogger out there! Last post was about 6 months ago. Oops! I have been very busy creating some custom dresses for my own children for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am on this new kick where I like to use Europeon patterns. They don't even give you pattern pieces, and directions are very vague and are translated into English. Can't I be satisfied with Simplicity like the rest of the sewers out there?? Always love a challenge!

This summer I entered dresses in my local farm and state fair. I am happy to announce that I won 6 First Place blue ribbons, 2 Reserve Champion ribbons, and the ones I am most proud of are the Presidents Award and Viewers Choice Award from the Maryland State Fair. The president of the State Fair picked MY dress as the best piece of clothing out of all clothes entered (probably around 400 entries). I didn't even know I won until my husband brought the dresses home and all the ribbons were pinned to it. :)

Maybe I will take up blogging in 2010...

2 Sets of Twins...One Birthday Party

I guess I am not much of a blogger...was planning on starting but never started. Must be busy or something. lol

July is a very busy month. July 4th is my favorite holiday, 8th is my wedding anniversary, 14th is my oldest twins birthday, and 25th is my youngest twins and my mom's birthday. whew! It is a lot. Plenty of dresses to make...not to mention getting ready for the BIG birthday party.

We have one birthday party for all four kids. They each get to pick a theme, they get their own party supplies and birthday cake. This years themes are Monster Trucks, High School Musical, Princesses and Princesses. The party is on the 19th and I have soooo much to do. It doesn't help that Julia and Lydia want a gigantic castle cake that can't be bought anywhere. Another job that I will tackle.

Thanks to my recent customers...orders are constantly rolling in. Most of my friends ask..."how do you find time to do all this". My answer, "I'm not really sure!". angela mae has some new dresses to offer...be sure to stay tuned. :)
